Tumblr connects 120 million people.
thenextweb:

Tumblr founder and CEO David Karp announced today at the Digitial Life Design (DLD) conference that the service is now serving 120 million people and 15 billion pageviews every month. Speaking about how Tumblr differs from traditional “editorial” services like WordPress, Karp quoted figures from website traffic measuring company Quantcast, not directly referencing internal figures from its own analytics. (via Tumblr: Serving 120m People, 15bn Pageviews A Month)

This might be a good moment to get an account, and get you and your company familiar with Tumblr. That doesn’t mean you’d have to start reblogging right away but at least you’ll be there when the magic happens and you will know a bit about how it works.
In our opinion: Tumblr > Wordpress because it’s simple, effective and a community.

Has Google Popped the Filter Bubble? | Wired.com
“Google blog: We’re also introducing a prominent new toggle… where you can see what your search results look like without personal content. With a single click, you can see an unpersonalized view of search results.
This seems to address the complaint known as The Filter Bubble [which] contends that when internet providers personalize their services, people wind up seeing only what those providers think they want to see — stuff in their comfort zone… things they already agree with or are familiar with.”

USB DRIVES FOR THE MODERN MAN
There was an unmistakable correlation between a person demonstrating computer proficiency and his perceived dorkiness. Maybe it was because ten years ago we had yet to fully comprehend the value of such technology, or maybe it has to do with how important the sharing of information has become to our society; but the portable USB drive has matured into a device almost as important to carry as a pen.
In today’s society, computer-savvy gentlemen no longer have to forfeit their manliness to keep up with the technology. While portable USB devices are quickly becoming relevant not just to Geek Squad employees, it is important that in using them, a gentleman maintains the elegance that comes with the rest of his attire. We recommend two different options that do not appear out of place in a modern man’s life.
This sturdy, metal design lock onto a keychain and looks good next to the car keys:

This cool and smart design allows for a device that performs three completely unrelated tasks (data storage, tie bar and money clip), and does so in a way that is brilliant:

Going wild with 3D printed ceramics.
Goes to show you what it all is that is possible with 3D printing techniques. This looks absolutely stunning if you bare in mind that it came out of a printer.
